As a Legal Exec in a fun, forward thinking team, in a council dedicated to making Nelson even more of an amazing place to be, quite simply, there has never been a better time to join our Property team.
In this role, you’ll be helping to provide legal services to the Property office. We will be looking to you to bring energy and enthusiasm to preparing and reviewing low risk legal documents, reviewing survey plans and undertaking title searches. We need you to be the go to person when Council staff need ad-hoc advice on anything pertaining to property legal issues, and be an active link to Nelson’s legal community and property owners.
You will need:
- intermediate level experience in the provision of property legal services (experience using ADLS forms, a good understanding of Titles and registered instruments, including the registration process and experience with Leases)
- high level of communication and relationship management skills
- strong personal prioritisation and time management skills
- sound judgement and decision making skills.
