The LAPA Committee, in conjunction with LGNZ, have prepared a final submission to the Department of Conservation in response to the proposals by DOC to withdraw delegations. LAPA Executives have met with Simpson Grierson and reviewed the DOC proposal.
We would encourage Councils to also put in submissions and are happy that they either endorse the points raised by LAPA, or submit separately.
DOC are also encouraging any new delegation proposals that you would believe improve efficiencies to Councils that you would like the Minister to consider.
